Diddy and 50 Cent have traded friendly jabs for quite
some time, examining each other’s business ventures like their liquor
brands Ciroc
and EFFEN Vodka, respectively. But on a few occasions, Fifty has somehow managed to still scrutinize Diddy’s being.
During a sit down with DJ Enuff on his SiriusXM show, the Queens native revealed why he doesn’t see Diddy as an artist, highlighting that he’s “a guy who stands next to the guy.” In addition to that statement, the Power exec ran down a list of names that Diddy has appeared alongside including The Notorious B.I.G., The Lox, Mase, and Lil Kim.

“When have you ever seen him by himself and it’s exciting?” Fifty asked. “Even when it’s tribute music, there’s three or four other people because he’s not an artist. He’s a party promoter, a businessperson, a producer. A lot of different things, but not an artist.”

On Diddy’s side,
whenever someone asks him about his reported tiff with Fifty, he always
shares that he paved the way for the “I Get Money” rapper. “It’s good
to see somebody of my color out there representing in this field,” Diddy
said in an interview. “And hopefully he appreciates me opening up the
doors for him continuously.”
