This is my Happiness Guarantee.....I know bold words.
But 100% truth....Those that foster and build an attitude of gratitude will become, and are, happier no matter the circumstances.
Grateful thinking promotes the savoring of positive life experiences. By relishing and taking pleasure in some of the gifts of your life, you will be able to extract the maximum possible satisfaction and enjoyment from your current circumstances.
Then by expressing you gratitude your self-worth and self-esteem will grow. When you realize how much you have, how much people love you, and have much you have done, you will feel more confident.
Gratitude builds relationships and nurtures new ones. The quality of relationships increases when we feel gratitude towards that person.
Gratitude is incompatible with negative thoughts, feelings and emotions, and may deter and diminish feelings of anger, bitterness and greed.
That is, the ability to appreciate your life circumstances may be an adaptive coping method by which you positively reinterpret stressful or negative life experiences.
The best way to reap the benefits of gratitude is to notice new things you’re grateful for every day. Gratitude journaling works because it slowly changes the way we perceive situations by adjusting what we focus on.
Let's do a quick exercise.
Think of someone who has helped you in your life. What did they do? What did you gain from them?
Now think about them, what would you like to do for them in return? Are you still in contact with them? When was the last time you let them know how you felt about what they did for you?
How do you feel towards them?
How can you foster these feelings towards everything in your life?
Your surroundings, your home, your family, your health, your friends....
....Think about the tool you are using to read this. Marvel and be grateful about how we can speak and learn together and we are hundreds of miles away.
Feelings of gratitude are easy to find, it just takes a tiny bit of reflection.
I am thankful for ALL that I have, for experiences good and bad in my life...
And most importantly I am thankful for YOU.....know that you are special. Know that you have infinite possibility. And that there is at least 1 person (and probably many many more) who loves and cares about you.
GRATITUDE.....so powerful and lovely.
Don't forget to add me to your address book so we will be able to continuous talk and grow together.
